In memory of the bridge in Baltimore - I post this cross-link:

https://emsnews.wordpress.com/2024/03/26/singapore-ship-bridge-collapse-was-deliberate/

Get it while it is HOT!

Remember this - an anthem was created in the Baltimore harbor back in the day and now we all wonder what has happened to "my land tis of thee"...

That was you feeding the chickens on your other post I think - or was it not?

Did you know in Graceland (home of Elvis and kin) there is a stairwell where the carpeting is just everywhere - on the walls and the steps - and really - you got to go there in person to appreciate it! Another stairwell, where I'm guessing many fell was full of mirrors.

Ha, ha.....

It was a trip back in time well worth taking to have some perspective on Memphis area - did you know the population of that city is about 700,000 and 65% of those who call it home are black in skin?

Memphis is a special place no doubt and I'm glad we visited, but I'm happy to be back home after the long drive through NC, TN, MS, AL, GA, SC, and then back to NC sweet home carolina.

Tomorrow - tis back to VA for me - I got some peppers in need of attention and I know what matters.

Ha Ha Ken. USA is mega big, like SA and every place in the world can be found there. I was in Texas in 1997 and stayed in Bandera - an amazing education for me: https://www.banderacowboycapital.com/

I've run out of time to see all the wonders of my Creator's world! :-D

Did you know it was Sam Houston who set his ambitions on Tejas?

Houston was out of Tennessee and the swashbucklers from that state went down south there in the land of Mejico at the time with ambitions to get some place......

Did you know that the Constitution of the state of Texas (I prefer "Tejas" in spelling but whatever) as originally crafted allowed for it to split into five equal parties?

Did you know that?

If not, now you do if you take my word for it - and if you give it consideration, this is why it is so important in my mind to study history!

Peace to you P&S - the best way to study history is to learn from it is what I think, but to be honest I think Tejas ought be its own place - one of the regions in my mind autonomous from dc.....

(smile)

Check this out:

Ptah, the local god of Memphis, was a patron of craftsmen and artisans and, in some contexts, a creator god as well. The great temple of Ptah was one of the city’s most prominent structures. According to an Egyptian document known as the “Memphite Theology,” Ptah created humans through the power of his heart and speech; the concept, having been shaped in the heart of the creator, was brought into existence through the divine utterance itself. In its freedom from the conventional physical analogies of the creative act and in its degree of abstraction, this text is virtually unique in Egypt, and it testifies to the philosophical sophistication of the priests of Memphis.
