Images only on this post.
As I’m waiting for this images I sent to myself I’m thinking I need a better camera and a better way to upload images - so I’m working on that, but the images below speak to our time in Memphis.
The image above on top was taken in Graceland, and that is seriously a room that leaves an impression.
The image below it is a panoramic picture of the Mississippi River in Memphis two days ago I think July 18 2024 and man - that river is impressive especially knowing some of the water there comes from my Getaway place.

Now here is some history in the telling:
Oh Sam Houston had ambitions - add his ass to the list I reckon, but what happened in 1829 led to what happened in 1830 I reckon in the image above cause ain’t it evident - one thing leads to another.
~
oh read it close - about the ambitions of Houston - read it close this fella came out TN and oh my no wonder so many wonder about the white man and all the harm he brings in the long run I reckon - Houston is the name of a city in Tejas I reckon - and really - read it close and decide for yourself:
What you think bout some fella coming out of TN thinks he got a calling to take another place for his own - I think the Alamo is sort of a joke upon America in a way given all the lies I’ve been told since the day I been born you mother effers….seriously - this country lost its way when Washington sent some force to put down the Whisky Rebellion - talk about a contradiction in ideology and becoming the thing you revolted against - pathetic is what it is and now - tis time to pay the price. Time to make amends with the reaper going to teach a lesson about what liberty really means….
More articles and pictures will be forthcoming. I got some peppers to tend to, but know this I study history and I advise you to do likewise.
This was a monkey I encountered in Graceland.

How bout U contemplate some history:
Whiskey tax my ass!
There it is - the Constitution - ideas on paper I reckon.
Shays’ rebellion fails. The year is 1787 - the article puts forth at the end:
In the long run, the uprising may aid the advocates of a strong federal government. Conservatives point to the rebels as evidence that an excess of democracy leads to anarchy. George Washington was left to wonder whether “mankind, when left to themselves are unfit for their own government”
You think so George yee of little faith put down the Whiskey Rebellion biased in a way. I’m thinking you were wrong to put down those did the same thing you fought for - you became that which you revolted against seems to the discerning student of history. That is sad, but tis the facts of the matter I reckon.

Elvis sure did like the TV seems evident after walking through Graceland.

This is my shadow in a place in Memphis easily located.

It would be fun to share some more images from this time spend with friend close including our time in Oxford MS at the home of a Nobel prize winning author, but I think I will refrain - cause the shit is fixing to get serious and I got to focus on that.

I’ll say this - my sweetie love Memphis and now I better understand where she is coming from - and for me - that is priceless.
(this is an interruption
on this post:
Does she not look familiar?
this looks like somebody packing some “goods” - and really there is way more evidence on this.
Better times beckon - just like Odessa.

I sure hope there is some “rip-rap” around that central piling. That only makes sense for the sake of the bridge.
Peace!

In memory of the bridge in Baltimore - I post this cross-link:

Get it while it is HOT!
Remember this - an anthem was created in the Baltimore harbor back in the day and now we all wonder what has happened to "my land tis of thee"...
WOW stunning Ken and fabulous pics as always. I must get my head around all this picture tech - I am an idiot on all this stuff!
