Update 9 - 81023

Tomatoes coming in......salsa on the way

Today, August 10, 2023, my wife and I went into the garden to survey the situation. The images below are associated with that. After I post this I’m going to pick out some veggies to leave on the top of the steps of my newest neighbor - I told him I would do this yesterday when we chatted and I like to do what I say I am going to do.

Cherry tomatoes ready! Oh how I love these plants.

Cherry tomatoes cleaned up nicely by my wife - there is one plant making bigger ones (sort of like “super cherries”) that are not pictured here, but I plan on saving some of those seeds - I think it is hybrid that makes a product that is most desirable.

Bucket of tomatoes - what do you think the weight is? I’ll tell. My guess is the bucket is about 2 gallons in size and the tomatoes have density similar to water (8.33 pounds per gallon), and therefore taking into account spaces empty and the fact that the bucket is overflow - I’d estimate the weight of those tomatoes in the bucket as approximately 15 pounds or - 7 kg if you prefer metric units.

Baby Tabasco finally showing up - there are more coming - way more.

A pretty little “weed” in the garden just minding its business. I left it alone. My wife said she thought it was nothing but a “dandelion”, but I’m not so sure. The symmetry on this plant is striking and that is why I took a picture of it and I choose to leave it be. It ain’t a weed….I think it is perty.

I hope all are well - did you happen to notice the images of the game I showed on my 2nd story I got going? My score now is over 12 million, but “inflation” is finally catching up on me and I think I’ll be lucky to get much higher in score…..ha, ha.
