I'll answer my own question about the number of tomatoes - I think it is over 200 but not too much - probably around 213 tomatoes in the image above.

One day I hope folks will realize the value of growing your own crops and then those who rely on others to provide sustenance might realize - their lives of easy convenience are in jeopardy if they remain complicit in apathy.

I had a few leftover that I put in pots, but they did not fare very well - I'm sure there is an "artform" to it, but in general I think plants prefer to be planted directly in the soil.

Still - I think this is something worth better understanding - because for many folks, I suspect growing plants in pots is either the "best option" or the "only option" - so it seems worth exploring. Next season I reckon I'll try.

Regards,

BK

Well - there must be a way to grow plants in pots with success - I know it can be done. Sorry to hear about your knee issue. But that speaks to why growing plants in pots is something worth exploring - plus think about all the folks don't even have a yard.

I think in pots more so than just in the ground - soil conditions (including keeping moisture at desired levels) is critical - but one advantage of having a plant in a pot (especially if it isn't too big) is it can easily be moved around to optimal locations.

I think growing in pots and getting some chickens are going to be my main goals next season, but for now I need to remain focused on what is out there in the garden this season.

I know your watching - and maybe tis knee problems keep you posted on the monitor - maybe not - but where there is a will there is a way.....

This season - I have some serious high-dollar peppa out there ripening and I think they will be resistant to the cold weather coming - or it just might make them ripen more rapidly - so time will tell - and I won't let anything go to waste.

That is my commitment to myself and to those who peruse this stack. If there is something I can't abide - it is letting things go to waste.
