Update 25 - 82424
Update on August 24, 2024 - in the Year when a Total Eclipse Happened on 4824 (things are coming along nicely I think- this will be brief).
Below is a quick update on the Garden - things are coming along nicely. I now realize I should have been more careful when I planted these cause there is a bit of “uncertainty” as to what is what - but the image below shows my efforts to figure this out - some of it is evident - others aspects of “what-is-what” it is hard to be certain - without doing another “taste-test” - that plan on doing later today.
~~~~~~~~
There are actually three plants there - two of them I’m just about sure are Carolina Reapers based on the pepper shape (with its distinctive “tail”), but the peppers are not yet ripe on those two. The third one, which I also think is a Carolina Reaper has been producing some ripe peppers - but they seem to be lacking the distinctive tail….
See what I mean about a “distinctive” tail? I suspect those are going to be a red hot reapers in a week or two.
~~~~~
I’m not sure what this pepper is - it is in the “upper garden” area which in general is not as far along as the main garden area - but I pulled four red peppers off this plant and as you can see it is prolific. It has a whole lot of peppers for its size. I think it may be another ghost plant - bhut jolokia.
~~~~~
Here is an image capturing most of the main garden area - lots and lots of peppers are growing there - it is exciting and joyful for me to reach this moment after a lot of loving effort to get these plants growing.
