Update 11 - 9823
Peppers Coming Along
(Edit - I apparently have gotten “ahead” of myself on the date
cause today is actually nine-eight two-three - funny!)
Well, for the “current gardening” season of 2023, I expect this will be my 2nd to last update as things are coming to conclusion for most of the “crops” with the exception I suppose of the main crop in my mind - the primary focus of my gardening ambitions - that of course is PEPPERS!
So, naturally this post is mainly about them…..although it turns out some of the okra plants have suddenly “come to life” and maybe next year I will try again as my plans for next year are already “stewing” in my mind (see the previous 2 posts).
Anywho - here are the “Update 11” images:
The tabasco is coming in in earnest as I expected - sometimes things actually go as expected - imagine that!
A lush banana pepper plant!
Some red cayenne - standard version
This is in the “cayenne” pepper row, but these peppers seem a tad thick for conventional cayenne peppers - I think they are a hybrid of cayenne and jalapeno…if so, this could be a fine pepper for the future and I will save some seeds to find out.
Ghost Pepper Plant #1 - ooh baby….I like the look of them ghosts.
Ghost Pepper Plant #2 - the ghosts are coming in…..both plants have babies!
**** Do you remember? ****
Hey - do any of you all remember when I thought these peppers were not going to make it? If you don’t remember, then you might be interested in this from almost 5 months ago:

That is it for this update on September 9, 2023 or 9923 (Edit - tis actually 9823 today, but I’ll leave that text unchanged) as I like to use is shorthand - that date seems a tad auspices for me - maybe it is. Regardless, there will be one more update I hope where I present the peppers at the end of the season (probably in a few weeks), and then I may share my recipe for Ken’s Hot Peppa Concentrate!

Great looking peppers. I use an organic deer spray that they do not like, serves two needs.
