I collected cheques (back in the day) when in 1968, the Marley Tile Group, for whom I worked as an accountant, received a cheque from HM Queen for a supply of goods. I asked my boss whether I should cash it - he said, No! frame it; it'll be worth a fortune in 100 years! I still have it!

He was a great boss (Bob Baldy) - we became good friends and he offered me several business opportunities in the 1970s. Without my strong Christian friends, I would not have succeeded in business as I did until 1995, when I went sailing for good, having retired from the joke they call business!

I got the cheque on the bulletin board - never to be cashed - cause there is only one year left for that and I'd rather have the cheque not cashed on the bulletin board then the "fiat in the bank" - almost like giving it back to the criminals if one deposits it into the account - so I think it is worth more on the bulletin board as a memory of how it once was....

Broken mirror occur, but 4-Leaf clovers - I consider them good luck and I got three from my daughter and one direct from my wife - and I laminated them.

I wonder if we ever get a PO Box refund and I have no idea why I got this cheque in the mail - that is why I have chosen not to turn it into 92 fiat $.

Hey - you want to know the "beauty" of this in a way - and I am going to frame this.

No taxes are due - especially if the cheque is just framed and not cashed P&S,

Any accountant worth their salt knows that!

I love that P&S.

Hey - just to get crazy about this - and turns out I got some inside info on this - not kidding - check out how it was paid.....I report:

$******92*00

What computer code you think this is - seems like Fortran to me. Oh boy, this is old-school but maybe the system is in place and tis a big vulnerability if so - one of many.

There are so many numbers on the cheque - which I still don't really know the origin off - if it was a refund for the PO Box - it ought be indicated as such, but maybe the programmers are getting tired?

Buffalo_Ken's avatar

You know - now that the "debt" is getting into the trillions they gonna have to add another "*" - and truly - who the hell is going to program that P&S?

That is a fair question - cause rumor I heard is some old systems are getting tired.

To be specific about it - if a check payment in exceedance of 10,000,000 that is 10 million needs to be paid - I don't think the "system" can handle it.....speaks to poor programming most outdated in the 21st century. I'm sure they have contingencies, but if some deep systems are stuck with Fortran, then that speaks to the current status of a place in debt over and beyond what could ever have been imagined by the Founders - who I put forth are shaking in the graves with anger just now .

PO Box refund

Buffalo_Ken's avatar

Hey - a "follow-up" letter arrived in the mail - it puts to rest what the cheque is for and I don't really feel like looking at the "numbers" too-close" and if you don't mind I don't intend on cashing this cheque out - I'll frame it and put it next to the other one we purchased in Boston - u remember don't ya - the massacre by Paul Revere.

I hope that is "OK" with you.

Love you Honey.

Is that your check above or Ken’s? I don’t see Ken written anywhere on it….

I think the answer to the reflection resides in Part 4 of the story - as told here:

The image complete is there - on another article here -

It seems the edges of the coins created a mysterious way for the light to show up in the 2-dimensional image, and so once again - I reckon I'll keep the book for myself till somebody deserving lays claim upon it - and then I will freely share it....cause what good is a book not shared?

But, best to share with those who care enough to fathom an explanation for how the light reflects in 2-D images I reckon.

Lets look up the 8th District of North Carolina - shall we:

https://ballotpedia.org/North_Carolina%27s_8th_Congressional_District

I am not kidding around.

Lets look up what district my home address is in:

https://ziplook.house.gov/htbin/findrep_house

(enter 28226 - if you want to know the district I reside within)

Ha - ain't never even heard of Jeff Jackson - I guess he just goes along to get along....just like all the other "Jackson-lovers" betrayed the country - I'd just assume be in the 8th district, and for awhile I think I was when than most effed-up mathematician told the Repubs in NC state govenment - how they could "run" the numbers....

I'll tell you this - I told the deputy taking me away against my will a few years ago - that the numbers in NC were effed up - and guess what - I was NOT KIDDING AROUND.

The wolves are on the hunt!

One at a time we will get the prey.

Pray for it - cause without the wolves humanity would not exist.

So in the game tonight, I told the owner of the casino - the more players the better with regards to casino profit.

Tis a game amongst friends and I said simply: the more the merrier.

I plan on playing well tonight - I'd prefer to play Oh Hell - but however it goes....

Let the chips fall where they will.

Not to be a "stickler" but looking even closer another time - it says on the bottom: "tax refund".

Is what one pays for a PO Box a "tax"?

I don't think so - it ought to have said "PO Box Refund" I reckon.

the wolfpack is on the hunt.....

~

Have you ever watched a wolfpack in the artic try to take down a weak "musk-oxen" - usually they fail and then they eat scraps until they try again - if they continue to fail, then they don't survive as a wolfpack - so fair to deduce the ones still there didn't fail too many times.....assuming all other thing equal.

~

Did you know the musk oxen as a herd form a protective barrier to keep the wolves from the young and week? Did you know that - they do and there is a term for it and supposedly the Blue Whales behave similar in their group defending. I can related to that.
