I'm not sure what a "boarded roof" is but the home was built circa '68. There was at least one owner prior to us - my wife and I - I think just one owner beforehand. There were so many flowers in the yard that had been established and they bloomed nicely for many years and some are still blooming. Other vegetation in the yard has grown since my wife and I moved in in 1994. I remember at the closing meeting - the previous owners - the fella was a meat distributor for high-quality restaurants such as the Angus Barn in Raleigh, NC that my wife and I went to a few times before we were married and a time or two after if memory serves. The wife of the fella was the one who planted all the flowers and the two of them seemed good folk - the fella did give me a warning at the closing - sort of....he mentioned the next door neighbor - and I reckon I'll leave it at that.
I can walk through our home - I've put in 80% of the flooring on my own - we remodeled the kitchen several steps over many years - my wife wants to paint the cabinets and I have steadfastly refused! I have painted every room - some several times - I've put in quarter round, placed new tile, replaced toilets, regularly get on the roof to blow off debris, work in the yard raking gumballs and leaves, and to put it simply:
Ha - I see a boarded roof - not alot of them around these days! I had one of those in my 17th century cottage in the 70s-90s

I love our home - I consider it blessed!
