Parizival - I can totally relate to that picture (ha, ha). Hey - I just posted "Update 8" - the pictures are close ups and they are "for real". Just like when I say "I'm not kidding" around.....I mean it.
Parzival - I know I shouldn't get "personal" here, but the conversation over at sott.net and whatnot - man......that place.
I think I intend on focusing my energy on my newest story - the 2nd one in the series and here it is [[Parzival]] (ha, ha) - any help you can provide when you think it makes sense is appreciated by me pal. I mean really - you are healer and so am I sometimes and I know about healing, but mostly I'm staring to think that I am a Wolf!
( I betcha there ain't many out there more qualified than you and I to tell the story about the vote 21-0 - you sir, are a fine individual who cares.....you must care to take care of the veterans harmed so much in a system that doesn't really care about them)
P&S - very busy times for me over the last few days - in a good way, but today there is a nice steady rain and the temperature is cool for August 3rd in southwest Virginia, and I think I need just a calm day of reflection.
On my next post I will do a better job presenting the peppers. So far the "sweet peppers" which are new for me this year, are doing real well - there is one plant that already has about 10 decent sizes sweet peppers on it - they are green just now and I'm not sure if they will change color upon maturity. The cayenne plants have made what I consider a "miraculous comeback" given how pathetic and "aphid eaten up" they were when I planted the last few survivors that were on the brink. The Tabasco, which were the ones most abundant last year are all growing nicely, but not too many flowers yet. If last year is an indication, in a few weeks there will literally be more than 100 peppers on each Tabasco plant in various shades going from green to red. The "Sweet Chocolate" plants are doing well, but not any better than the "straight-up" Sweet Pepper plants, so unless they taste different I might not plant them again next year. The Banana pepper plants have taken root nicely and there ought be many Banana peppers this season. Even the Jalapeño which were in worse shape than the Cayenne when I planted them are now growing and producing. Lastly, I have three ghost pepper plants that have survived (they are in the image above), but the temperature has not been as warm as they prefer - still I believe I will have a few ghost peppers by the end of the season and the seeds from those will be of high value being these plants have been such survivors.
Next year I will plant less zucchini in the garden, I'll make improvements in how I support the big tomato plants (the cherry tomatoes are doing great but I let too many of the big tomatoes come into contact with the ground), and I suspect I will be planting more peppers than I did this year being peppers are my focus and next year I won't let the aphids get established like they did this season. Live and Learn I reckon.
Warm Regards and thankyou for your ongoing kindness.
A great report, thanks Ken. My beans are now flowering and climbing the canes and I will pinch them out at the top - then - I can't wait for the beans - at last! It's a late season Ken - I lost all my June plantings - Spinach, Radish, Turnips and Spring Onions.
I have re-planted in two beds this week - it's wet and warm here in UK so maybe - just maybe I will get a crop in September/October. The Jet Stream is stuck south right over UK and the lows just keep coming. It has to go north for the summer high to establish - maybe not this year?
BUT we are off in November so who shall I bequeath my plants to? Whoever it may be - as long as they are kind to them and treat them with respect I guess I will be able to grieve in peace! LOL.
Happy days with my magical plants that our Creator allows to prosper without any interference from mankind.
Jesus observed: "“For no fine tree produces rotten fruit, and no rotten tree produces fine fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit. For example, people do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they cut grapes off a thorn bush. A good man brings good out of the good treasure of his heart, but a wicked man brings what is wicked out of his wicked treasure; for out of the heart’s abundance his mouth speaks." [Luke 6: 43-45]
Hey "Fizzy" - you and anyone you care to bring along are invited to come visit maybe sometime in the fall or whenever....we have two homes here and we are working on the other place just now more than normal, but in a month or so guests are so welcome and I'm not kidding around - this is why I am at this place. I want guests to visit. I want to meet other folks.
Friends are welcome, quests are desired if invited, and why would you want to visit if you weren't invited?

Supposedly the plant is a "rose", but I'm not sure - but my wife sure has an eye for a flower.
My leg will be fine (I hope), but it just goes to show - one thing gets impaired, then it leads to other issues....so it is important for there to be balance. I think after I strained my ligament slipping in the rain when I was having too much "fun" the other day and the rain showed up out of seeming "nowhere", I did myself no favors continuing my floor work requiring that I get up and down from the floor during the course of work, and now my right leg is letting me know - enough is enough!
Still - I can't deny I have "cabinet fever" - it is the fever you get when you get to the point where you enjoy so much getting the work done and the physical labor associated one step after another...you just have to keep on working cause you got the "fever" to improve your home...maybe tomorrow I should just go watch the "Barbie" movie instead? What you think Marty!
Ha, ha.
I hope your headache diminishes - one thing after another it seems don't it. Oh well....in August, I'm gonna have the peppers and the tomatoes and the zucchini as well to go in the salsa special that you and I are going to make together....and I hope you know....that plant in the one image above with the pretty small delicate white flowers - that is the cilantro. I'm very fond of it!
You are a great neighbor to have nearby and I hope you know how much Pam and I appreciate you and Frank.
Great Green Pictures Ken! Thought I'd share this summer haul picture with you & others here: https://twitter.com/KaptanHindustan/status/1687338159284322304

I can't argue with that logic, Ken.
P&S - thanks for sharing your wisdom.
I just posted "Update 8" - I get fulfillment gardening.
Peace,
Ken
Me too - being close to nature gifts are abundant.
The veggies are looking great! Yum. Those are such pretty flowers...those are roses? Would love to see the house.

Well everything is looking good. Sorry about your leg. I’ve had a bad migraine for a couple of days .
