Oh I meant to say how very happy Julian Assange's release made me too. I have been an advocate for years. I could not believe the politicians still calling out his activities being 'morally incorrect'. The man called out killing of innocent ppl, genocide and corruption. Which part of those criteria should be held back from the public because it's not in our best interest to know? Damn jackasses all of them!

Love what ur doing there Ken. Growing peppers looks great. I couldn't believe it. I had been growing beetroot in Hordern Vale, Vic, a very cold place this time of year. Just before the cold snap I had a few ready to come in and lo and behold something got to them before me. I was not happy. I'm only managing to grow some greens at the moment, and a few herbs. But it's so cold. I can't wait for the spring, we're dead in winter now, no turning back. What are ur go-to's in terms of winter produce?

Hi Kezeek - thanks for dropping by and checking out the place.

I've done a bit of late fall planting, but not much....I think I had some garlic that I planted two years ago and got some product in the spring.....one can plant cabbage here as well as lettuce as a "fall crop", but I've only grown them in the early spring....

This season, I'm really focusing on "figuring out" the various peppers I've got going - several of the plants have now flowered and the ghost pepper plant I overwintered is doing great, but the other one I overwintered, a cayenne-jalapeño hybrid, is not doing as well. It keeps trying to make "little baby peppers" instead of letting its leaves grow....oh well, I planted several more of this type of pepper from seed collected last year and I have high hopes because this hybrid comes out a fine smooth red about 4 inches long with a diameter of about 1/2 inch and has a good balance of flavor and spice for my palette!

Some of the other peppers I've got growing are probably TOO HOT to eat direct.....but I have plans for them assuming the appear.....in the next update or two in a couple of weeks I ought to be able to show some pictures of the different peppers.....it should be fun!

Regards,

Ken
