Awesome stuff Ken, very inspiring. We've got a few very hot days. I've covered netting over my grapevine and growing beetroot, spring onions, spinach, silverbeet. I haven't got a lot growing as yet, but hoping to. If U have methods for prepping pumpkins from seed let me know. Cheers, Kerryn

The way we have grown pumpkins in the past is too just take them out after Halloween and throw them out in the yard!

I think all seeds like good soil to start off....the real challenge is to get the plants to grow!

Thanks for commenting here - these peppers are in my heart no doubt.

You know - you must know - the beauty is - grow what makes sense for where you are - case-by-case....that is the foundation of permaculture I think, but it does call for trade local - I prefer barter.

I'm in the Otways in South of Vic, Aus. So I'm guessing I wld need to do opposite. That season is that Autumn or fall, means prob good to do now. How wld they cope over winter tho?

I'm guessing though - the peppers I got - they would grow well there - in the land down under - imagine if you had them planted in the Finke basin!

I mean they mainly crave the sunshine and plenty of that in Australia - just add a little water - precious it be - and wa-la - hot peppa!

I'll say more cause I have a soft spot for Australia in imagination - have you read my other story about "Sally and the Navigator"? Anywho - the soil I have at my getaway place - tis most conducive to creating hot peppa is what I think. I'm putting it to the test. I'll report back assuming I'm still breathing.

Best to you.
