A Message for SubStack
When I click "unsubscribe" I mean it
So below are two images of my un-subscription attempts :
I clicked “unsubscribe” many a time on this but it has been ignored.
I did it again for this Stack:
If my wishes and desires for fair play and fair discourse can’t even be abided by SubStack, then I reckon tis time to go elsewhere.
Plus - I expect a refund, but if I don’t get one I don’t really care.
I don’t participate anywhere I’m treated 2nd class and that included SubStack.
Somebody better fix this damn bug in the code cause I clicked the button to unsubscribe and while I don’t expect a refund I do expect my subscription desires to be honored - if they are not, then I’ll find a better forum to share my ideas.
~~~
I’ve gone on record saying the following:
If I can’t “unsubscribe” how the hell can I be true to my word?
Really - seems there is a bug somewhere here and for me this means time to pack up and go elsewhere.
I hope this gets fixed soon, but if not, I’ve through this shit already and see you on the others side I reckon.
My limit is 16 and if I can’t unsubscribe it means I can’t be true to my word, and if I can’t be true to my word in one place - I’ll go elsewhere.
Edit - 102723: I’m taking a pause on Substack presently, but I wanted to edit this post to state that although it was convoluted, I “discovered” another way to unsubscribe that did what was desired. The way it ought have worked by all indications is apparently is no longed properly coded and SubStack needs to correct this. I think I know the root cause, but having buttons that “confirm” something that doesn’t actually happen is a problem especially with respect to Subscriptions - not everybody accesses SubStack in the same manner, and I suspect this is the origin of the problem, but frankly is reflect poorly on SubStack.
I consider this matter closed for the time being, but being “true to my word” means the world to me, and so now as I’ve already indicated - Time for a Pause.
So now you kind reader - check the evidence.
I said a long time ago I will only subscribe to 16 sites at any given time but now seems I can't unsubscribe and that rubs me the wrong way.
I reckon I'll unsubscribe to the whole mess of it if this is how it is going down cause I got better things to do that deal with fools who can't even code template proper.
Just saw your exchange with Latypova. You definitely won't get your money back. She banned me from commenting "for 100 years" and ignored request for refund.
