So - I’ve told about the heritage tree we had to get cut down. I told about the permit required - I’ve told so much - how much do I need to tell. Rhetorical that question is.
Here are some images from today followed by a link to the original article about the heritage tree:
We worked our asses off to get this piece in position - and the 10000-lb winch helped a lot.
The fella there is one hell of a hard worker - and his daughter attends the same high-school as my wife did - Go figure!
Hard work pays off I reckon.

Here is an edit today:
~~ OK - lets observe the first cut made 82 seconds of video ~~
And now - later in the process:
Professionally done on that first log and to be fair - let me share this as well.
So what you see there all came from the one big log at the bottom of the tree. Oh my - there is some “sweet” Southern Red Oak - from a tree struck by lightening there - and I paid the fella with the mobile sawmill to come and treat said tree with respect.

Can't include a picture here. Will note you one for laughs.
WOW, stunning work Ken and now what next? That's a lot of special wood which I too would treat with great reverance. I'm sure you don't need this advice but worth a thought maybe?
