Update 9a - 51225 1933
Tis always delicate after getting planted - so given the rains around these parts I thoughts I'd share a "9a" update - ain't nothing earth-shattering bout it other than the plants seems to be.....
Here is a clue:
~
I’ve shared this elsewhere - might as well share it here:
You might not be able to tell - I worked hard getting this on the framework and made efforts to prevent “epoxy leakage” - and then collected the leakage as best I could and put that on the edges with a brush - but this piece of furniture is not yet done!

May I present - the 2025 Garden!
~~~~~~
This is an obligation I don’t take lightly:
So - let me share the final image of what I suspect it is gonna be (the artistry I’m doing as well) - and have you ever seen a crystal clear reflection up close? I have - I know there is no way it can be captured in an image:
Wonder what it looks like tomorrow morning…epoxy is fluid till it cures!
Final Edit - not kidding around - really!
OK - below are the babies I returned to a greenhouse. They are looking good to me - they just got stifled, but now they feel better - and for all I know - they have natural fungal resistance - I think these babies are worth saving!
And let me tell ya - tis nice and cozy in the greenhouse - specially for plants love humidity, temperature, and what-not - been out in the rain literally washed clean!
Another Edit - for the sake of “fair disclosure” - here is what the artwork looks like now - and the current status of the garden - it stopped raining and I should of been down there finishing the planting…..maybe I will later.
BK, 51325 1359 - I just don’t “feel like it…” - I think I’ll listen to my body…
Ohhh….the images:
oops…..1404
~~~~~
Artistic Edit - Artistic Edit - while I’m waiting for things to “dry up a bit” before I go back and finish planting - here is some artistry I’ve been working on - I’m trying to learn how to use this epoxy with colorants - each time I use it I learn a bit more:
Here is the current status of the piece on working on now…….51325 1216
…..oh and good news - the sun in the sky has decided to “peak out” for a bit….and that is good since it has been steady rain for quite some time…..
~~~~~~~~~ end of edit ~~~~~~
Some of my best memories of my whole life happened in the rain.
As I say above - let me share a “1-day” update after yesterday’s planting and given the rain I didn’t plant today - but tomorrow maybe I will!
For the most part - the plants look “Okay” to me - all things considered.
Now a few “random” images:
Ain’t life a mystery!
In a good way….
"For the most part - the plants look “Okay” to me - all things considered." Yep indeed Ken. When I start my own "Gardening in the Wesern Cape" in September, in our spring time, I aspire to match your amazing images and great work and will seek your advice too. No wonder you ask where you ever got time to work for income - I do too! I am fully enagaged but changes are coming allowing time for gardening.
Best wishes
Peter (AP is too remore now)
I literally just "figured out" what the garden area needs - this is ironic. It needs mulch. I got some in Charlotte!
~
I got plenty!
