Oh those tomatoes look so good! I’m a tomato freak. Are they beefsteak?

I "think" they are some sort of Cherokee Purple heirloom which is a "beefsteak" variety - but it is the seed from a tomato that grew from the seed of the original tomato - so it is 3rd Generation and might be a sort of hybrid....I don't know for sure.

The picture was actually one separate tomato nicely shaped and colored and I ate that one yesterday for dinner mixed with jalapenos and queso! It was good. The other was a "double-tomato" - I'll probably eat it today. These were tomatoes that were already on the plant when I first put it in the ground and the reality is I think they slowed the plant down relatively speaking because the energy was going into the fruit when it might of been better "spent" growing the leaves early on....anyhow - there are lots of tomatoes out there and I just picked a sweet looking cucumber (or maybe it is zucchini) this morning. Today I have to get out there and weed out some stuff growing too close to the actual crops.

The next update will go into more detail on how each type of plant is fairing. Thanks for your interest Fizzy! If you were here now, you know I'd share some tomatoes with you!

I can't click that link being I boycott the youtube, but I remember the song of it, and really the flux has been over the top for too long. But, on the pee-wee story, a comment now pinned I speak to the next story to be told - it has to do with those who voted to approve an experimental jab for little kids but six months old. The vote was 21-0 and that is most telling is it not?

Do you doubt I could tell a story about it all - I could go back into the personal history of every individual on the "committee" if it could be called that - and those who chose with all the evidence that ought to have been known to nonetheless approve the jab for little kids? Makes one wonder what human beings are capable of and how they disassociate with all the pain they cause directly. I could point out the conflicts of interest, how the whole system is rigged, how it all is just a mess of tyranny and b-crat t-crat confusion gone crazy....and I might just do this - it would be easy.

But I think the wolf in the story I tell is gonna have another lesson to teach and this whole bit of typing on my end is nothing but a teaser for better stories on the horizon.

Just like you are gonna escape to South Africa I reckon and find your place amongst friends and god-bless you if it goes that way for you and I hope it does because I know this - there are those amongst us who hold true to certain ideas and ways of relating and we think what we hold onto is timeless, and forever....and if you want my opinion - I think we are correct!

Ha, ha.

You are of course right Ken. My greatest fear, and the reason I will reside in the deep south at 35 deg S, is that if these crazy bastards shoot the nukes the radiation will stay mainly in the northern hemisphere because of the Coriolis effect - https://education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/coriolis-effect/

(Apologises if you know all this).

Also, SA is so chaotic it is unlikely that the ANC will get Digital IDs and CBDCs effective within my lifetime. :-)

Ha ha indeed.

It looks like a beefsteak because of the ridges. I get my love of tomatoes from my dad who had a sliced tomato with Miracle Whip 😂 at every single meal. He grew some mean ass tomatoes too. Is the big leaf plant elephant ears? We pulled out the shrubs in front of my son’s townhouse this weekend, was pretty labor-intensive and I planted some elephant ears bulbs in the back part. Cucumbers are so good for you also. If I were there we would have our tomatoes Fizzy style- on the back porch steps...a tomato in one hand and a salt shaker in the other.

I enjoy a good "BLT" and yes I prefer Miracle Whip as well even though some purist don't consider it to be equivalent to Mayonnaise.

The big leaf plants I think are "cucumber", but they might be zucchini. I'll figure it out...I had cucumber, zucchini, squash, and okra that I planted, but only one of those four seems to be flourishing presently - it has been a rather cool May and June and I think the other plants would prefer some hotter sun.

We have elephant ears at out other place - they come back reliably year after year. I wonder if the bulb of an elephant ear is edible? My guess is probably not, but I suspect there are many edible plants that are not fully appreciated. Like just this past weekend our daughter bought us a "chicken of the woods" mushroom she happened to come upon - https://mushroomsite.com/2020/05/03/chicken-of-the-woods-mushrooms/ - and I'm not kidding, I cooked it up and sure enough it did taste like chicken - it was good mixed with some eggs and cheese. Next year, I plan on having chickens here and I wouldn't mind trying to get some mushrooms going as well!

Best you you Fizzy!
