I should probably explain the images above more clearly. The one on top now shows the ghost pepper plant I dug out of the ground - go back and read previous articles for more info if you want. The image after that, I can't remember what it might be....the one with the two dogs showed my sister's dogs and fine dogs they are. The one showing my home - I think I took that picture prior to departing, but I'm back here now and I feel invigorated being I spent quality time with family direct at the table and face-to-face.
You know I read just recent that for most individuals, they can sort of have their mind wrapped about 200 other individuals they have "relations" with at any given time....you know - members of the community, friends, and family. I think there is some truth to that, just like if you work for a company - once it gets beyond a certain head-count aspects of it can change no doubt - usually not for the better for most workers there initial.
BUT - I also think individually we are at the precipice of new ways of communicating and interacting with others and it could be the #200 was only a sort of "rough limit" prior to reaching higher levels of consciousness - both individually and collectively if you can imagine that......I don't think you can have one without the other - they are inextricably connected. I revere individual liberty as well as virtue, but I know I am a member of many communities.
Either way and regardless I agree: there is nothing better than quality time with family (ha, ha...).
In my family, we have maintained our bonds over the years as children, then grandchildren, then great grandchildren have been born....and for so many years we have had annual family reunions with typically ~40 of us gathering together. It has created some cousins with pretty tight bonds now and kept family connections together because truly there is no substitute for being face-to-face.
I think we are on the precipice of better times....it depends on improvements to communication.
Anyhow, warm regards to you and thanks for posting here,
The next year is going to be tough as they double down to get the controls in place they want. Biden meeting with his master Xi in San Francisco. Be prepared.
Bert - I take a different view on it. Per my perspective, if "we" collectively make it to the year of 24, then better times are on the way with much higher probability.
I'm not worried about China and I don't blame China for getting industry going - good on them. I just think we could do it for ourselves and tis folks like myself - been so many places - so many industrial facilities producing so many different products - and with an "open mind" and "open heart".....I know tis a matter of a generation or two to get all that industry back up on its feet and running stout.
Of course railroads and rail infrastructure is MOST critical to get this going - and really Bert most of the "Great" leaders improved infrastructure and from the peasant's perspective that is what made them great.
It ain't rocket science, nor is it complicated, but it does require the ability to refute fear, and then of course, assume the role of being fearless truly.
Truly fearless and in concurrence with your wisdom as long as you ain't afraid of the uncertain future,
This has to be one of my most pathetic posts, but that dog above - is the one dog cross-eyed?
I don't care, I'll take the dog and keep the name Cooper.

OK, I'll elaborate - the two dogs were in a picture most recent and Cooper if you look close I think that dog is cross-eyed, but I don't mind cause I like that dog and Cooper is a good poodle.
The other image with the pepper plant proves I've kept it alive and alive it is. The other plant special in my mind is also alive, but who knows what 24 has to offer other than this - I think 23 was the tough year to get through and 24 assuming we get there will inform the path for a better future day by day.

There is nothing better than that.

Yes. Nothing better than quality time with family.
