When I repaired the countertop at our “getaway” place I used epoxy as the final topcoat - I wrote several article regarding this about a year ago. Since then I’ve been wanting to use this epoxy some more - to learn the artistry of it……
So when we had to take town the big heritage tree in our homestead yard, I recognized an opportunity. I’ve been “learning” on the fly - this epoxy is not so easy on surface irregular - in contrast to the countertop - but I’m learning along the way. Below are some images showing some epoxy work.
An endtable with a gap in it - wasted a lot of epoxy on this job, but I finished it - even though it seems a tad more cloudy than I desire.
This was a piece I first thought might be one thing - then another - now it just sitting on the mantle.
These last two are recent - I rushed it a bit more than I should of - but this is going to be a gift to my father-in-law on father’s day - and I’m not done with it yet - I think it is ultimately going to be a “wind chime”.
This was some “crazy” stuff I did a year ago or so - using up leftover paint.
This is the counter top mentioned above.

I hope all are ready for the 2nd half of 2025.
I am.

Please disregard this:
love the end table ! also noticed your eclectic tiled back splash; it adds spice to the swirling motion captured in the countertop, very cool !
