After Sally’s Dad got the message things were a bit confabulated, but it didn’t take the family long to coalesce around better ideas evident - and that dear reader is what this Part 7 speaks to….
So for the sake of taking a trip back in time - try to remember if you can back in Part 1 when the Navigator was running for his life after Sally screamed and saved his forlorn self - and then there was a wolf in real time.
After the Navigator has his blood and the blood of the wolf upon him he changed - he was no longer the same - but he had his convictions - and he was resolute within them and he was willing to die for the sake of Resolution - cause he knew and the wolves know as well -
Resolution does not come easy
~
Before the story continues - I want to share some good music - true it is of RC ideology comes from living in the hilly forest I reckon.
Tis joy to see a son and his father playing together - tis joyful.
Chapter 1 - It is Going to be a Stretch fore Reckoning
It is going to be a “stretch” to get our bearing here the Navigator said to Ebenzer and Sally……he said it to himself as well in a way….and the baby “Cedar Celtic Sunshine” (cc for short) hear the Navigator exclaim to hisself as he was making the morning coffee after they had reunited.
Sally, in an act of kindness took the Navigator down to the nearby creek and gently removed his garments and washed him - he has blood all over himself - twas in his fingertips, under his ears, and up his nostrils. The Navigator had just gotten in a “fight to the death” with a wolf caught him “off-guard”…..but here is something not yet shared in this story about the Navigator - he is the quickest on his toes, with his arms, and in his hands and mind as well - and the Navigator caught off-guard delivered a blow to the neck of the wolf - and that got the blood flowing.
Then it was a fight to the death.
~~~~~~
Upon returning from his washing in the creek water with the aid of Sally, the Navigator still held onto his dignity - and there was still some blood of the wolf upon him and within him. He felt a bit cold and shaky in the moment and then looked at Ebenezer and said:
Are we going to get are bearing or WHAT!
Ebenezer looked at his friend and then simply said:
Yes
Chapter 1a - Before Stretching Comes Reckoning
After he was washed off gently by Sally in the creek, the Navigator no doubt was full of attitude - being he had just been in a “fight for his life” from a wolf unexpected…..
But even before the Navigator met Sally - the love of his life - he had learned about reckoning. One time he was a young lad and he went off to blow up this and that not hurting anybody, but seems his efforts caught the attention of local authority, and he was apprehended. The officer said to him:
Son - you best let your parent know I’m going to be calling them (the Navigator had foolishly shared contact info, but remember he was a young lad at the time), and sure enough the officer followed up on what he said he would do - but the Navigator - cagey even at this young age - realized - I best tell my parents what transpired and nothing came of the matter - twas a lesson well learned all around.
Nowadays however, the Navigator - and truly Sally is part of this as well - he takes note of what occurs and can’t help but wonder - why did it go down this way. So given the Navigator and Sally were once in the heat of battle and the two of them left a bunch of dead bodies behind them and then they eventually had to raise their hands - nowadays - that along with other things have informed the Navigator’s take on how things go down sometimes - and the Navigator is a cagey soul - not to be trifled with.
~
So - after his visit with the sister of the Commander and being he was still alive the Navigator knew he was not alone - but then he encountered the wolf direct and they want at it and had each other’s blood upon their bodies - they both came close to death and then decided to make an agreement with each other - and well - that is that.
So the time had come the Navigator finally realized in his mind - and Sally probably already knew - but one evening as they were heading back to their home territory while he was sitting by the fireplace with Sally, cc, and Ebenezer - the Navigator looked upon them and said -
Well - sons of bitches - I reckon we heading back to Base Colorado - cause there is some unfinished business there I intent on bringing to conclusion
Ebenezer looked up - and he didn’t say “pass the butter” - he just said -
are you serious about this - do you really mean it….
There was silence in the campground for a moment then “cc” yelled out being she was close the fire and nobody was paying attention and Sally came to “cc’s” rescue and then the Navigator got close into the face of Ebenezer and said -
yes old man - are you with me or not
That got Sally’s attention and cc’s as well, but Ebenezer was not put off by the aggressive behavior of his young friend - and said simply:
I am an old man and you son if I may out of respect for your father are the best person I ever have known and ever hoping I am that what you desire comes to fruition and I know my life has not many rotations to go, but where you want to go know this - I go there with you my fine companion - the best man I ever known
So - it is settled Sally - the Navigator exclaimed - we are on our way to Camp Colorado and this time we won’t be “running away” - oh no honey - we will be delivering justice.
And that was that…..Ebenezer and the Navigator shared stories from the past with each other and cc sucked upon Sally’s nipple and together their resolve had firmed.
Simple as that.
Chapter 1b - Before Determination Come Stretching
They got to a place on the trails heading towards their destination and the Navigator in a moment unexpected said to them - don’t be naive - there are some “bad folk out there” - be ready to defend. Defend to the death.
Chapter 1c - Before Resolution Comes Determination
The Navigator was so full of determination he stretched for it and then sensed a reckoning. And then in the moment of clarity he realized - resolution beckoned.
As they made their way towards Base Colorado (BC) all the world about them seemed to turn into a hazy dream-like land of un-reality. Disconnected from others they were and when one party member or the other slipped on a stone - well seems as if they all were waiting from some force to come down upon them with harmful intent and then they approached a cross-roads and as they got close a large bird flew overhead and it let out a scream of seeming despair.
~~~~~
Twas this moment after days walking on the trails, the Ebenezer looked upon The Navigator and said:
Friend - I’ve heard rumor of another entry into Base Colorado and the cross-roads is upon us
The Navigator deep in thought as they usually walked the trails silent looked up upon his long time older friend and companion and said simply:
Please do tell
Please do tell friend….

To Be Continued
~
the continuation is this - this story is now told and it is over - and the one-way choice Sally and the Navigator made is up to the reader to discern. And that is that.
This story is over.
The end.
The reality is I think this story is over - been told - and Sally and the Navigator lived "happily ever after" is how it ought be remembered.
I reckon I won't be telling this story anywhere else, but it is all under copyright and I claim that - and you know better than to mess with the Navigator - now don't ya?
🦬
I got a few friends here and there - we all try to remain in communication. I'm not a friend easy, but I'm loyal lifetime once I decide to be friend - maybe that will be my downfall - and if it is - if I get betrayed by a friend - I don't mind - I'll die a man with principle.
With that said, I doubt any my friends will betray me.
And so, if so, I say to them - lets be wolves now friends - lets be Wolfpack on the Hunt.
