The reality is I think this story is over - been told - and Sally and the Navigator lived "happily ever after" is how it ought be remembered.

I reckon I won't be telling this story anywhere else, but it is all under copyright and I claim that - and you know better than to mess with the Navigator - now don't ya?

Today and yesterday I read the whole story - and I made some corrections - some updates. But this story has basically been told - and it is NOT for sale - but tis under Copyright protection - per the terms as such:

https://substack.com/tos

In particular note the following:

1. Welcome to Substack! These Terms of Use are a binding contract between you and Substack Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Posting Content on Substack. First and foremost, you own what you create. Any original content you post, upload, share, store, or otherwise provide to Substack remains yours and is protected by copyright and any other applicable intellectual property laws. That includes publications, subscriber lists, any other text or photos you upload to your subdomain on Substack, and any information that you provide to obtain a Substack username and account. It also includes any comments posted on any current or future discussion board features on Substack.

~

That is the most important parts of it - the rest is legal "mumbo-jumbo" but truly #2 says - and I quote:

"First and foremost, you own what you create."

One wonders why that is even necessary to state, but there are lots of lawyers out there - and so I appreciate it.

"Any original content you post, upload, share, store, or otherwise provide to Substack remains yours and is protected by copyright...."

~

So, lets be clear on this - this story is one I share freely here at Substack but it don't mean anybody got any rights to it - cause the "copyright" per the terms of conditions - typed above resides with the author of the story - and the author is yours truly. Parts 1 through 7 on this story and ALL the other content here. Tis held in copyright privilege.

~

Now if somebody desires to "do something" with this story long time in telling - then by all means do something, but remember who the author is - and the copyright protection inherent in the terms of conditions.

~

I share the story here freely out of goodwill, but the story is protected and if it seems something of interest to you, then reach out to me - and maybe arrangements can be made.....

Regardless - the story has been told - and that in and of itself - gives me pleasure - the same sort of pleasure I suspect Faulkner got when he worked on his material in Oxford, MS - a place I have visited directly - and it was memorable.
