I had to take my glasses off to look at that, but you got the symbols down no doubt - I bow to you in that regard but I like to throw some stuff out there easy for the fun of it sometimes Inugo....I like to make plays in pee-wee football games as well graphically and I did that on the other story about pee-wee football.

We all got gifts, some have this and others that and you are the symbol master in my book Inugo Comrade brother!

Greetings to your celebration Ken - it is a major event in our young lives as i remember well in those far-off days of yore.

Capsaicin, the chemical that makes peppers hot, triggers your brain to release endorphins, endocannabinoids and dopamine. It's a pain response, but it can feel euphoric.

I put the peppers in our air fryer and set the temperature to 170 F. They have been in there for more than an hour and I put some also in the oven at the same temperature with a bit of air circulation, but the oven doesn't circulate the same proportion of air versus the air fryer. Still - twixt the air fryer/dryer set at 170 and the oven, being it is a bit cool today I don't mind them releasing the heat created inside the home, but reality is if one is a novice, the heat of peppa in the air could be problematic cause there is a smell of potency presently in my kitchen and that is why my dog and I are up here safely in the office.......

At the end of the day, I hope to end up with some serious fine pepper powder that packs a punch!

ha, ha.

Parzival -

My friend who provided me the initial "ghost pepper" when I was just contemplating these farming "ambitions" (~ 2 years ago) and for whom peppers had been a "hobby" of his for many years - it is no coincidence that for awhile he worked with what I think was a "start-up" pharmaceutical entity trying to isolate and use capsaicin because it is recognized as having certain potential therapeutic attributes.

My nephew was visiting yesterday and "da-gong" he left a big bag of "potent peppers"....I mean you can literally smell the heat coming out of them.....I'm not sure what to do with all these intense fruits he left with me....I don't want any to go to waste....it could be it is time for me to acquire a "dehumidifying" unit - a slow dryer - so that I can save the essence of what he left......

Today though - tis time to bottle the porter batch of brew.....

There is so much value in the "simple things" like gardening and brewing small-scale.

Peace,

Ken

Hard work. We have been prepping for Winter here too. Moved the plants into the greenhouse, sawing and splitting wood. Wash, rinse, repeat every season change.

You know there is change expected and change undesired and one has to do what one is required to do when one's daughter and her fiancé are having a Halloween sort of party to celebrate their engagement with each other and so I was given my assignment and I believe I fulfilled it, but more assignments to come for sure and you must know Bert - I like assignments from the love of my life and I'm thrilled my daughter is fixing to be engaged formal.

You want to know why?

That increases the probability of grand kids coming my way and you can rest assured party preparations will be in place on that...plus, and really the best part is I sort I think my potential son-in-law is good for my daughter....sure enough he must be!

~

So - tis all in the day, but I'm looking forward to meeting my potential son-in-laws parents - I've heard a fair amount about them, but not met them in person and I suppose that is the purpose of this party amongst other reasons not the least of which is increasing probability of grand-kids maybe even though I know - it ain't up to me!
