My Frustrations with Register.com
Let me share them - Substack seems to be heading in the same direction of stifling communication on the web.....
Tried to make an edit on this site and was told - “memory full” - that is bullshit and I know it. Here is the site:
https://www.carbon-tax.us/
My site about tables and choices and carbon
Want to disable “auto-renew”, but that ain’t even an option. It is bizzarre cause I can’t edit that place either nor can I cancel - this is utter horse-hockey effed-up bs.
Want to delete my credit card info - but they have a “primary” payer card that can’t be deleted apparently.

Oh - there is my info - eff you register.com. I’ll cancel it and there is nothing you can do to keep me from doing that - even though you make it difficult - poor, poor customer service - and to think - I’ve been a loyal customer for so long. They think I’m going to be their slave in payment and they won’t let me edit any of my sites but they still want me to send funds in….I sure hope I get to talk to a Canadian representative when I call the number and give them a piece of my mind in regards to their pathetic service. When I give them a piece of my mind they will realize - I’m not kidding around.

Seems lately Substack is going down the same pathway - so I’m going to look into how I can “archive” all my material here and then I will go to a better forum or maybe just drop out of all this internet bs compromised - cause it seems Substack as well as so many other places has “jumped the shark” of worthwhile service and now they are subsumed by entities not really interested in communication and sharing ideas. That is short-term thinking that will NOT be profitable in the long run….and can’t help but wonder about the status of my mini-angel investment - something is amiss at Substack no doubt.
There is a lot of ignominy in all this, and I got to calm down a bit before I contact customer service - but truly tis a “Sign of the Times” when you make efforts to share ideas fairly and all you get is grief and stifling judgement from dipshits who apparently are hypnotized or under the spell of forces contrary to humanity.

Sad state of affairs all around.

No matter - in the end the Wolfpack always prevails - there will be other places better - most likely local in nature - being Substack seems to have lost sense of its principle stated - and as for Register.com - if need be I will cancel my credit card payments to them and that will be that.

I had a similar problem, Ken years ago. In the end I took out a new credit card which I use exclusively for the web and then I cancelled the old one. It was the only way I found. Bonus, I got better rates and terms too! :-)
