Come on Brown - there is a new link above - has to do with Ponerology - and I still haven't heard a damn thing from you regarding my ideas for slower combustion of coal - what gives?
Do you want things to get better or are you stuck in perpetual misery of thought?
Seriously - I think my ideas on coal combustion have merit - I think I have value!
Sorry for the late reply to your coal combustion/reduction idea. I am probably the wrong person to comment on this subject; however, I know that recycling of un-combusted gases for further energy extraction was a big topic at one time. It goes from coal electrical plants (plus scrubbers) , to wood fire places with contorted paths for more complete combustion, to some automotive applications that I have a vague memory of.
So, given my non too stellar memory, I would suspect this subject would have some serious study behind it. I am referring to pre-climate hysteria days. I suspect big money was thrown at this, even if it was for appearance sake. Now, all we hear is how to freeze in the dark and eat bugs. Burning anything is bad bad bad.
I would be extremely surprised if the coal burning chemistry at all temperatures has not been nailed yet. You never know though, there are agencies that would love to keep all information hidden.
I would love for things to get better. I just am unsure if I have the wherewithal to implement real change. My expertise is in finding oil and gas, coal is a by product of the drilling process, so, other than considering it as a source of hydrocarbons, my knowledge is limited.
Have you investigated the literature for synergistic ideas you are proposing? I think your ideas have merit as well. I just don't know where to begin in forwarding the idea into a real world project. Have you thought of what type of experimental setup you would need to test your ideas? I think staged containment might isolate some variables, but, without serious chemistry analysis, I am not sure where it might lead. Of course, one might just go full steam ahead and let the experiment lead to your next direction of investigation. On a small scale this is doable. I still remember my first chemistry set that had an experiment to produce coal gas and coke. I am sure at that scale investigation would be affordable. Again I stress, I am unsure how to proceed without serious literature search.
Anyway, I think I am making things more confused than offering any contribution, so I will stop.
The unit we had ran on special - I mean really difficult to product fluorinated chemicals - chlorinated as well - cause it takes a refrigerant one step deeper to make another does it not?
Still - that damn thing was worthless piece of crap hunk of junk and the columns on top couldn't keep the temperature down being they were pushing to make the gold too hard - stupid managers is what they were - and the outcome speaks for itself.
Had we just gone slow and steady we would made the product, I'd of gotten more sleep and eaten less donuts and for all I know I might still be in California.....hmmm.
I guess I'm happy how things unfolded in one way, but in another way - it just seems indicative.
Holy Crap - that chick in the top image - she scare me in a sort of scary mean chick kind of way that reminds me of the 80's!
~
Man - she ought ease up a bit is what I think.
LOL. I've been scared straight by many a chick.
That was a nice piece, a nice story. I could feel the rhythm, the struggle, the frustration, the acceptance and even a little love. Nicely done.

What you think Brown - come on - share what you think....what you got to lose?
There is a supposed "storm" on the way my way - in a matter of minutes - guess what?
I refute it!
Oh shit - for the sake of mingling things further...

A link to my place on Substack already - a different story - but that is where coal is discussed.
Son's of bitches - if we had this unit at the site it might of been steady sailing...
