My wife and I went to the local county agriculture gathering and here is an image from that.
Now, I won’t tell the heifer-handler team that got first place, but I’ll say this. That place where the fair was held was most impressive. I did not know places like that were in this county, but now I do.
This appeals to me:
I’ll say this also, there was a spouse calling contest we knew was part of this fair, but we thought we had arrived too late, but lo-and-behold we did not, and then there was a recruitment effort and I told my wife - ok…..I’ll do it. I won that spouse calling contest and I didn’t even try too hard….if I really wanted to display my vocal cords I suspect there is a chance folks would wonder - “is that man an alien”? So, I didn’t, but I won the contest and reward was a $4 coupon for some icecream - I hope they honor that coupon locally.
And now below is the image of a dog been in my life for 13 years now. She is 16 supposedly and while she had her idiosyncrasies, when she ran into my home on her own accord and got down on the floor hoping for attention…..and I gave that attention…and then later I paid for her fair and square with silver coin mind ya….well then, at that time she became part of the family. So I love her no matter her idiosyncrasies or not - don’t we all have some? Here she is - a fine dog if there ever was one:
In the month of August in 2023 - if future historians come back to talk about this time I think they will say - twas a month of gusto!

As those who know me know I like to do - here is the first edit - it shows tomatoes the seeds of which are of high value. One type is supposedly called a “Tommy Toe” and the other is from one of the cherry tomatoes I saved from last year but it seems this plant had ideas about the crop it wants to produce on its own accord and who am I to argue with that - I will save the seeds because the tomato seems to be a sort of hybrid twixt cherry and maybe another tomato bigger? What you think? You be the judge.
August is the month I was born so it must be why I feel something blowing in the wind. Either that or Tommy Toes mixed up with wonderful cherries different makes for a good seed combination? It must be that.
May the best ideas prevail.
I play to win and if you think you are gonna intimidate me then put forth your best attempt but I have gone on record - I love killing bullies.

So this is all you got to do to save the seeds from the tomatoes special. Get them out in their own juices and let them sit there as the juices dry…..later on, next season put them in the ground and see if they amount to anything. Here is an image of it:

You know what I think. I think it is an exciting time to be alive!
May the best ideas prevail and I'm not afraid to die for my principle.
Not at all - that would be a fine way to go.

Buffalo_Ken, you are the best. Good on you, footin' the dog meal bill. I'm pleased you chose this topic to write about. It is exactly my intention:
Recently, I adopted a few "people" into my fold. They surely, won't be sorry, as they shall be treated like one of my clan....Too read more, I will be making notes in the near future.
Blessings ~
