Foot Troubles

The Chicks are fine but I have on "odd" bone in my foot I've learned - it has caused some troubles recently - but tis amazing how the body can heal

Uhh….well I’ve been working particularly hard lately and seems I agitated my right foot - in particular a “bulge” that I’ve know about that has shown up before in the past few years - but this time unlike the past it was sensitive to touch and then it got infected it seems - or maybe it already was.

Good news is the swelling has gone down and you may not believe it based on the image below, but I can “hobble” around again now - here is an image from a few moments ago:

Tis a “compare & contrast” of my own feet - and obvious one of them got infected. Here is a close-up of where the infection occurred:

You see the sort of “bump” there off on the right side of the 5th metatarsal? If you don’t check this out!

That is a bone that ain’t supposed to be there - but it is in my right foot no doubt.

Well, hells-bells, the night before last the swelling reached a peak, and I couldn’t even stand up. I had to piss in a jar and my wife saved my butt and got some crutches so I could get to the toilet to do more than piss - then it was off to “Urgent Care”….cause I ain’t no fool and something was evidently wrong.

Well God Bless the crew there and the fact it was not a busy day and turns out all it was - was an infection I reckon and now the swelling is going down and tomorrow I suspect I’ll be able to do more than hobble - I plan on walking. I got things to prepare for - there is a family reunion coming up - and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Meanwhile - the chicks have basically double in size and I’ll be taking them to the Getaway place soon along with living spaces for them twice the size of this cage, and twice that again - and then before long they will get to the coop that is awaiting them - at least that is my plan.

You may notice there are only six birds there now - that is because my daughter needed a chick for her brooding hen and I gladly let her pick one out.

Life is a mystery no doubt - but if we persevere and work through hard times and pain with discipline and determination, then a better future awaits us I think!
