Artistry & Plans
Artistry from the past and plants for the future
It seems things are happening quickly and so even though I don’t intend on posting this often as I have been, I’m gonna share the five (5) images below. The first two show the plants I’ve been growing and they are separated into one image staying and the other going to to our “getaway” place. It ought be evident which is which.
Now, I have learned something and I think from the perspective of the baby peppers, the grow lights were a little too close and that is why the leaves on these babies, the pepper babies in particular, formed up in a position saying…..I think this is too much. I noticed it a few days ago and wondered why the leaves would curl up as they did, but I think that is why….so I raised the grow lights up a bit and I’m not sure I agree with those who suggest keeping these lights on for 16-17 hours……that doesn’t seem natural to me…..I have them on a timer with 12 hours on and 12 hours off.
The other three images are hear only because at another place I frequent on Substack somebody shared some artistry and I think one good artistic sharing deserves another, so I share these images each of which is in the office where I do my work day-by-day.
So, I’m gonna take the beets and onions and plant them. I’ll plant the lettuce as well, and the other plants I will setup a place for them to hopefully continue to grow stronger until it is a good time to set them in the ground outside during the “growing season”. Being I purchased two more grow lights this is an option for me and we have run out of room for the plants growing inside here in their initial place and so this is the next step in 2023 Garden Ambitions.
I don’t know about others, but for me, making art is important. I’m not sure a robot could ever understand that, but robots seem to be all around lately and I think they are just tools to be used - and I suspect they “think” likewise.
So those are the plants. If you look close you may see a ghost pepper sprout has emerged in the loose soil 2nd in the row of 5x8 containers. In the 3rd row, if you look close, I believe 70% of the chambers holding ghost pepper seeds have sprung and several of them have two sprouts. In the first container, the “chocolate pepper” and “sweet pepper” seeds have done nicely along with the basil and okra sharing space.
OK, here are the artistic works from my daughters first followed by one I did a little editing upon.
I’m a big fan of Escher.

This is my “last” sort of meandering, contemplating throwing out ideas post…..after this - tis all business with focus on my garden ambitions.
Blessings all around - together we are better.

I want to share a few Substack links that I peruse. Substack is a good place to learn whatever you are seeking. So, here are the links I share:
~
https://drtesslawrie.substack.com/p/the-pirate-ship-is-sinking - From Dr. Tess where she shared her artistry that I found impressive and inspired this post of mine.
~
https://austrianpeter.substack.com/p/the-financial-jigsaw-part-2-special-ec0?utm_source=email - this one goes back in time a bit - it is from the "Austrian's Newsletter" - I've found that Substack to be hosted by a kind gentleman who has insight on fiscal matters and we have had some good conversations.
~
https://whatdoino.substack.com/p/the-best-knot-and-nobody-knows-it - this one is about "the best knot", and I've told the host of that Substack, that I will practice this knot, and when I say I'm going to do something, it may take awhile, but I try my best to be true to my word. This author also was the one who got me thinking about planting trees as discussed on my previous post I think......

Oh my goodness, I could share so many links, and it raises my spirits knowing there is a community of us who share sentiment as if we were sitting across the table. There is beauty in that, and I suppose it is the "next best thing" to find compatriots and kindred souls out there......we all need a bit of affirmation on occasion, but we ought not be "praise junkies", so like everything else there is a balance to it, and if I say something off-base or misguided, or maybe even poorly communicated, I trust that the kindred spirits out there will set me on the pathway they desire I travel, and I for one need that because none of us can survive "on our own".....we need companionship.....both physically and mentally as well as spiritually. Of course, that is a 2-way street, but the key to communication is to keep talking and then find resolution.
So, I would just like to put out a public statement of appreciation for Substack facilitating this sort of interaction without censorship.....let the host censor "their place" I think, and then let's all sit across the table and share ideas with each other.
Peace is easy and together we are better,
Ken
You must know that last image is a picture of a picture of a picture. The original picture is long gone as is the original artistry around the original picture, but I took a picture of it and I hung it up on my wall here now above the computer monitor and then I took a picture of the picture on my wall today and that is the image above - as I've already said it is a picture of a picture of a picture......I'd love to have the original artistry in my possession, but I don't and so I started off with a print of it and then I added to it and then I lost that artistry in physical form, but at least beforehand I took a picture of it and then I printed said picture out and took a picture of the printed out image and that is what is posted above. You get it - a picture of a picture of a picture.

Clear as mud correct?
Oh well, artistry must run in my blood.
