In case anybody was wondering - I posted this elsewhere (it was a "typo" of sorts....)
~~~~~
Well, sorry if this has already been answered, but I don't think it has been - so let me do it:
~
"Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" is a song by Paul and Linda McCartney from the album Ram. Released in the United States as a single on 2 August 1971
~
The Carpenters In Concert is episode 1, Season 4 of the BBC's In Concert music television series, directed and produced by Stanley Dorfman. The concert was The Carpenters debut BBC concert, and filmed live in BBC Studios and first aired on BBC Two on November 6, 1971.
~
Uh read that close.
Uncle Albert song by Wings came out on August 2 1971 - or 8271 - 20th Century style.....and the Carpenters concert "aired" on November 6, 1971 - I should find out when the concert actually happened. Well, best I can tell - it happened on November 6, 1971 - so was it a "live" concert aired - or was there a delay - if there was delay I doubt it was from August.
~
So to conclude - the music is played in sequence in 1971 and I guess I'll just keep that book for myself!
~
Man - I think being in the ribbon may have changed me!
(ha, ha)
BK
ps - typos will NOT be corrected....
pss - just to "set the record straight" and be on topic - I may be an engineer, but I come from a family of accountants - I like things to be accounted proper.
~
Can't decide whether to share this as another "Note".....ah what the hell I got to lose...
Um, I just posted another bit of music and it is the last bit for this article, and I started it at a certain moment and in my opinion another great song starts precisely at 25:33.
It is sort of chilling in a way - gets your heartbeat going in a way - in away....
For a "Few Dollars More" tis also chilling with the whistling followed by a bullet...then some "twangy" music followed by more bullets from afar - from a long gun I reckon.
This one on the link above commences just as the previous one mentioned ends!
They sort of go together in my mind.
~
(For discerning readers maybe still checking things out - this is the sort of thing The Navigator whispered in Sally's Ear in "Part 4" of the story not yet told when Sally was close to giving birth - you know about 8 months along.....)
Indeed, but this is the difficult bit, Ken - it's hard living with Jesus and his guidance on the narrow path.
"Vengeance belongs to my Creator. He has not authorised me to seek revenge when someone sins against me. [Romans 12: 19-21]. With limited and imperfect viewpoints, I am simply not able to judge matters correctly, as God can. [Hebrews 4:13]. At times, I allow my emotions to interfere with good judgment. God inspired James to write: “Man’s anger does not bring about God’s righteousness.” [Jason 1:20]. I know that God will do the right thing and make sure that perfect justice is carried out but in His time, not mine. He sends his angels to hold me in their hands whilst suffering the torment of handing over to my Creator [Psalm 91].
There are so many verses in the Bible - one can pick out any verse for a given moment and reach conclusions no doubt, but the choice of the verses might speak to potential bias - so caution is critical when it comes to choice. A discerning mind surveys the whole composition of it and tries to choose the most informed view - using the gift of free will. I don't want to live if I don't have free will.
So the thought that comes to mind is when Jesus turned the tables on the money makers in the Temple if memory serves - and in that moment was there not a sense of anger within Jesus with respect to the behavior of the "money makers"? Justified anger - anger with foundation. I think there was - legitimate human anger - just as Justified Retribution is a concept that has merit in context of course.
So - there are times to "turn the other cheek" which in my view are typically and tend to be small-scale encounters when that makes complete sense for the sake of family and neighbors, but on larger scale matters - the principle is critical, and collectively we would all be fools to simply "turn the other cheek" while misery is implemented by pompous fools upon innocence.
I pray for Peace, but as the "Wolf" wonders - why are humans so harmful?
The harm of their behavior - the few who do this and who cause so much harm - demands response. Response is the proper thing to do.
I call for Justified Retribution - and while "retribution" is a word some might consider with negative connation, if it is Just, then I believe I could find many verses in support of it - both in the New Testament and the Old one for holy hell sure - cause in the old days justice was swift.
~
I call for Justified Retribution applied directly upon the specific few individuals responsible for and easily proven for all the harm they have caused upon humanity as a whole. I think Jesus would concur with said call.
Many thanks Ken, that is a most thoughtful discourse, and your sensible, common-sense engineering mind has convinced me that you are right about retribution but perhaps 'restitution' might be a better approach?
South Africa has settled into a peaceful state (relatively), as there will always be nasty people willing to disrupt my serenity. The 'Truth & Reconciliation Commission', after the evils of the Apartheid regime, managed to settle matters for the future of SA and it worked in part at least. We have few racist elements here now (well in the Cape anyway) and everyone is pleasant and polite - black, white or coloured, in my experience with strong family ties.
Do you think there is hope for such an approach to the troubles in the world today? Will sober minds prevail or will the wolf win yet again? 10 little words describe SA for me:
It is like so many thing delicate, but the time for world-wide refutation of the zigaboo ideology is upon us and if there is any place knows this first hand must be South Africa - I mean they are the ones bought the case to world court and the decision made in the court of international law was - yes this is genocide.
Well, call me a hillbilly fool, but that demand response.
I'll say it again - thee shall reap what thee sows .....but I'll add this - may it be in the here and now cause time is precious and future generation must have no patience for willful harm evident.
Yes, indeed Ken - time is precious - and I will be Skyping my daughter in the UK (she manages my UK affairs), as I want her and her husband to get out of the UK for at least 6 months, which they can do easily. My other 3 children are tied with little ones (late births are not good!)
WW3 has broken out today and who knows where this will go in the coming weeks?
BTW - you're up late? Can't sleep? Take a pill LOL! :-)
Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves. ' ”
Look at this map. Where could the US stage an invasion of Iran?
To Iran's east, you'll find Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan. A big triple no.
To Iran's south: the Persian Gulf which it completely dominates. No good.
To Iran's west: Iraq and Turkiye. The first a definite no, the second, a no so probable it must be considered a certain. Turkiye will not go to war with Iran for the US and Israel - a war not only sure to decimate it, but a war Turkich people will be fanatically against.
To Iran's north is the Caspian Sea. No use.
Azerbaijan and Armenia present an opening, but how will hundreds of thousands of NATO soldiers get there (let alone undetected)? If they go by sea, they will need to traverse the Mediterranean and the Black Sea and virtually physically go through Istanbul. Not only politically complicated, but a long long journey that gives Iran tons of time to prepare.
Africa is looking most hopeful to me - if I was a younger man I might choose to live there.
But - I have family here - I choose to defend the homeland.....neither choice is better than the other - tis a function of context and I look forward to the porter.
I've been "drawn" back here in memory and it gives me pleasure to read about what a wolf wonders - I'm still wondering and contemplating, but I think this - better times beckon.
(you can't blame me for making a mistake can ya - I been on the road and spent 3 damn hours at the dentist yesterday - but I come back around and correct errors - I play for keeps and I play to win)
Beautiful Ken - thank you for that poem which says so much - wisdom lost in the mist.
The beauty of true Justified Retribution is it is undeniable - it cannot be refuted.
It is inviolate.
Just like the beauty of healing.
I've been "drawn" back here in memory and it gives me pleasure to read about what a wolf wonders - I'm still wondering and contemplating, but I think this - better times beckon.
OK ready. Here we go.
2 * 3 = 6
5* 7 = 35
35 * 6 = 180 + 30 = 190
190 * 11 = 1900 + 190 = 2090.
~
OK, lets stop there for the time being.
13 * 17 = 130 + 91 = 221.
~
Now, I already know what 2090 * 221 equals.
Do you?
If not, you haven't read above - but it equals 510510.
And I'll check that later to make sure, but I'm pretty sure already.
So that means that numbers consist of the primes up to 17 multiplied by each other.
~
If you look at all the divisors of said number - they are impressive.
I think that speaks to the power of Mutual Aid amongst those who learn the life lesson of - we can agree to disagree.
