So sadly I suspect this site ain't gonna be around being the place it is registered is not a fair partner refusing refunds they ought proffer - So I post it here for the sake of posterity
Well - I've tried to "memorialize" this site of mine I've had since I can't remember - like 2006 or 7 maybe - there were so many, but I held onto:
"carbon tax net" - I Registered it fair and square!
that's the site about a "Place to Remit" which is the title of this Substack Post of mine. That site is soon not to be renewed - anybody interested in it?
~
I got another site - with a similar history - I reckon I need to memorialize it next.
So I have looked at the chart above from #1's place and Singapore does not seem to be "in scale", but that is neither here nor there - what catches my attention is that while Africa as a continent is truly much larger than expressed on "modern maps" (which are NOT to scale) it is has very little debt - ain't that ironic in a way!
Nice meeting you and "fiscal fellatio" it is for sure!
Your writings reminded me of an old story I once heard.
There was a man who lived in a beautiful valley. One day a great storm came and washed many heavy stones down into his garden. For years afterward, he spent his days carrying those stones one by one to the edge of the valley, determined to restore his garden to its original beauty.
He became known as a very strong and resilient man. People would say, “Look how tirelessly he works. He refuses to be defeated by the stones.” He took pride in this identity. Every time he carried a stone, he told himself, “I am not a victim of the storm. I am the one who moves mountains.”
But the strange thing was, no matter how many stones he carried away, more always seemed to appear. The work never ended. Over time, his back grew tired, his hands grew calloused, and though he spoke often about freedom, he rarely left the garden.
One quiet evening, an old traveler passed by and watched him working. After a while the traveler said gently:
“Friend, what if the real burden is not the stones… but the story that you must be the one strong enough to carry them all?”
The man paused, sweat on his brow, and for the first time in many years, he simply sat down on one of the stones and looked at the garden with new eyes.
Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is stop carrying what was never truly ours to move.
Just a story that came to mind while reading your work. Take what resonates, and leave the rest.
I feel This Supertramp song best captures something of the same feeling:
I got another thing to add to the story above - or a thought to share.
I mean why ever try to "restore something to its original beauty" - that is a never-ending road of disappointment - the "better" ideas it to take the stones that landed there into the garden and let them help shape the garden of the future that might just turn out better being the stones are there.
Now if there is a stone in a critical place, then move it off to the side, but no need to carry it to the "edge of the valley" - cause come on Parzival that is a waste of energy when the fella could of been keeping his garden going versus trying to remove stones that landed there after a great storm.
~
So I think it is fair to end this with the simple truism that states:
~
"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
~
Now you Parzival are probably one of the few who will appreciate that this sentiment was expressed at the home of my fine pal of my youth Cricket - it was at the top of the door I think upon the room of Cricket's mother and father.
Well - me and my lovely are fixing to depart the place we been in going on 32 years plus now, and seems I will have to depart from my email address unless I work something out with my daughter and her husband - who are the ones moving in to the place had this "spectrum" service (time warner before that...) for so long....but maybe tis time to get a new email address - either that or maybe better yet - not even have one!
Suggestions welcome.
The next Garden Update will be coming out this week god willing.

Hey Ken,

Lots of wisdom in that no doubt.
I think that story you share does share some attributes with the "story" I told at that site....many stories actually for me!
As always - best to you P!

What originally came to mind... https://x.com/BecomingCritter/status/2058933610552422638
.....it was mean of Zeus to dish out punishments of that nature and the fella ought just "quit".......
ha, ha.....

that was hard to read - i'll try it again when i'm sober...
Hey - if you are able - put a "like" on this article if you don't mind.
And "soberness" is somewhat relative and I don't think it is hard to read.....but try again and let me know what you think if you don't mind.

Click the link while it lasts - tis easier to read it there.
That site by the way has been registered going on 15 years plus - it has evolved.
