A Careful Trip Back in Time
I'm looking for some images but instead I'm taking a trip back in time...
I know I have some pictures from when we acquired the adjacent place here at our “getaway”, and I’ll find them in due time, but instead I’ve decided to take a trip back in time….but before I post this I’m going to take a few more pictures in honor of others and I’ll share them as well.
I believe this picture was taken in Iceland. The picture above was in 2019 - this one immediately below was just made…
I got no idea what to make of that - I mean do you? I could tell you the origin of it, but do you really want to know? If so - just scroll down…I reckon.
This is how it looked in October 2020.
This is a little creative picture I took around the same time when we were having a deck built. I still got lots of wood left over from that job done well.
This is a stone I have inherited and it is not for sale.
This shows what I was thinking about in May 2021.
This is a picture from a friend - high resolution - it was taken in October 2021.

This trip back in time has been done carefully, but it is good to remember the past no doubt - tis most informative - what I care about the most is the future….but tis informed by the past no doubt.
I think peace is on the way…so let me present one more image without comment:
……oh forget it - I’ll post another later….I got a garden to tend do and I’d rather be out working in the garden or at the place next door - good hard work sooths the soul.

Two more pictures as I said I would - one is artwork maybe and the other I can’t remember for sure….
After I got wind of the loss of the wife of the Representative from Kentucky - Thomas Massie - it affected me - it made me feel like I needed to do something - even if the something I did was so unrelated what I felt was a human response to do something when something seems like tis afoul - something ain’t correct….so I did the only thing I could - I tried some artistry….here is part of it:
What does it mean to you I ask with no harmful intent - to me it means we are connected - inextricably.
Better times beckon - June is almost over - Odessa laments, but Saint George will come to the rescue - won’t he…..? If not, no matter - best to be local and to do things physical - keeps the mind sharp.
I’m not done with the “artwork” above on the pick piece of wood - maybe only I appreciate it, but I think I got one more layer to apply (Edit: 63024 944 - this has now been done) - and then the final epoxy layer gets added - and then I got me a sweet bit of furniture that takes two fellas to move - so odds are when it gets set it will be fixed in place - and that is that.
It ain’t “modern art” if you know how it came to be - and if you know how it came to be, then that leads to appreciation of how paint flows and how it settles and whatnot - tis a work in progress - you understand that - don’t ya?

After tomorrow, half of ‘24 is over - and I think better times beckon - with or without Odessa…..but let me tell ya - there are catacombs in that area - and why you think so many care about that port on the Black Sea? I for one think it ought be part of whatever place it chooses - let Odessa choose its fate I reckon - that seems fair - lets us all have that choice - thank-you cause….at the end of the day what matters is local matters and Schumacher knew - Small is Beautiful. I concur.
